Blind Tiger Organic Gin

In the 1920’s Prohibition Era, a “Blind Tiger” was an establishment known to illegally sell alcohol, with a focus on celebrating the exciting fl avour and taste of liquor cocktails, many of which were Gin based.

We search the world for the most sustainable, organic botanicals. Blind Tiger Organic Gin is an exotic blend of juniper berries, coriander root, angelica root and summer savory. The handpicked organic botanicals are distilled together in a traditional small gin still to create an aromatic infusion that is carefully blended with organic wheat spirit to create a fi ne elegant London Dry style of Gin.

TASTING NOTES

AROMA Blind Tiger Organic Gin is a complex, exotic, yet elegant and aromatic gin.

FLAVOUR Juniper Berry is the core botanical of many Gins and in Blind Tiger provides a backbone of fresh spring forest and citrus notes. Coriander root has been selected as it enhances the citrus characters of the juniper and imparts a subtle earthy character whilst the angelica root gives a delightfully aromatic and heady note of musk. Summer savory completes the botanical mix and contributes a subtle mint like peppery character.

The combination of these Organic botanicals creates a London Dry Gin that is a perfect
mixer with Tonic or Soda and a great base for one of the hugely popular gin based cocktails.

Gin & Tonic

• 60ml Blind Tiger Organic Gin
• 120ml tonic water
• 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
• Lemon or lime wedge (for garnish)

A simple but classic cocktail. Fill a glass with ice. Mix in ingredients and stir gently. Garnish with lemon or lime.

Classic Gin Martini

• 60ml Blind Tiger Organic Gin
• 15ml dry vermouth
• 1 olive on cocktail skewer

Fill a chilled mixing glass with ice and combine gin and vermouth. Stir to chill for 15-20 seconds.

Strain in to chilled Martini glass. Garnish with an olive.

Add a dash of olive brine to make it dirty.

Negroni

• 30ml Blind Tiger Organic Gin
• 30ml Campari
• 30ml Vermouth Rosso
• Orange peel to serve

Combine all in ingredients in chilled glassware, stir gently and garnish with the peel of a fresh Australian orange.

Tom Collins

• 30ml Blind Tiger Organic Gin
• Juice of half a lemon
• 60ml soda water
• 2 tsp caster sugar
• Lemon slice
• Ice
• A large lemon wedge to garnish

Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar and Blind Tiger to a clean highball glass and stir. Add plenty of cubed ice and stir again. Top with soda water and stir for a final time. Garnish with the lemon slice then serve.
