Deep rich red with crimson, purple meniscus the bouquet is a vibrant combination of intense violet and rose aromas. The palate is perfectly integrated, with rich and intense mulberry and satsumi plum flavours filling out its middle region. This very “moreish” wine leaves lovely lingering flavours.
The Story
The Mangan was always intended to be a high quality fruit driven style that capitalised on the rich power of the Malbec, the length of the Petit Verdot and the fine tannins provided by Merlot. Thus, in 2003, only 20% of the Mangan was matured in wood and this was restricted to a period of eight months.
