The nose is showing lovely aged characters of leather beeswax and tobacco leaf, and a little earthiness...so inviting. On tasting the mouth-feel is heavenly; smooth and silky, The flavours here are cedary with a savoury edge, and just a hint of blackberry fruit. This is a bottle you'll sit down with and be surprised how quickly it has disappeared and you'll still want another glass.
Michelle says: "What a rare pleasure to be able to taste a 14-year-old preservative-free wine. This 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon from the Great Southern region in western Australia as aged very well. It is delicious and a bargain for around $30 or under."
The Story
Tasting Notes from the winery:
Colour: Deep Ruby red with some vivid violet hues

Taste: Rich, complex and mouth-filling. This is a wine to sit on and peel apart the layers. Sipped and savoured, time in glass improves the experience.
