A brilliant, dense crimson with a little more evidence of oak (the volume was down so the newer oak percentage increased slightly.) Heaps of signature red berries and spices and lots of weighty but supple tannins as usual. A very well balanced wine, considering the dry growing conditions.

 

 

The Story

The un-irrigated, low vigour Georgia's Paddock is planted with 12 hectares of Shiraz. After vinification the wine is matured for 14 months in new (around 20%) and old French and American oak. Georgia's Paddock is packaged with a red label, a reminder of a devastating bush fire in 1987.
