The Story
The 2003 vintage was hot and dry and produced excellent quality grapes. This wine was fermented in open tanks using hand picked Shiraz grapes which were beautifully ripe from our Estate block. This shiraz has been slowly matured in a combination of French and American small oak barrels for 24 months. Well integrated tannin structure has developed together with berry and plum bouquet giving a long rich flavour on the palate. Drink now or cellar for up to 10 years for added complexity. Traces of egg white from the wine fining may be present.
