This vintage, drought-affected and low yielding, has produced a wonderful ruby colour and varietal flavour. The ripening period was warm and dry; the grapes were hand picked by our regular crew of family and locals much earlier than the usual February 22, then traditionally open fermented. Cellaring potential 8 years, if you can wait!
