Maraschino cherry with a hint of cedar and spice. The palate is light-medium with fine chalky tannins and clensing acid. From 29yo vines, this wines shows lovely varietal nose and flavours. It sees limited time in old French & American oak, which allows the elegant fruit flavours to shine.
The Story
The Pinot vines are now 29 years old, planted on the steepest section of Martins Hill to avoid late Spring frosts. The grapes are hand harvested. 2014 was an exceptional low yielding vintage and has produced this rich and gentle Pinot. Only 47 cases were made from this vintage. Drinking well on release, and will cellar well for 10 years.
