Tasting notes from the winery Olsen Reserve Preservative Free Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Barrel aged Cabernet Sauvignon with advantages. This Cabernet Sauvignon sets a new standard for preservative-free wines. The fruit was picked at optimum flavour development. Matured in French Barriques and Hogsheds. 

This wine shows dense rich colour with a purple rim. Aroma of ripe fruit with notes of cassis and plum and subtle French oak. Palate is full flavoured supported by good tannin structure. A cool climate Victorian Cabernet of the highest quality with intense varietal character and the advantage of absolutely no added preventatives and no fining agents used. Simply pure! 

OLSEN WINES (ViN888) Victoria is an independent, family owned wine producing business. From their humble beginnings of retailing fine wines, spirits and specialty beers starting with two outlets in Albert Park and Camberwell, the business developed a niche market for specialty products. In 1991 the company then decided to venture into wine production and the multi awarded Olsen Wines was born. Glenn Olsen, their chief winemaker imparts his passion for winemaking, producing quality style of wines.

The Olsen Wines label - the company’s flagship was established in 1993 and has since then received awards at major shows entered. James Haliday has given Olsen Wines four and a half stars and rated the Olsen Yarra Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 95 points. 

Due to popular demand, they have successfully developed their natural wines made without additives or sulphur dioxide preservative. Their estate in the heart of world famous Yarra Valley wine region produces the very limited Olsen Park Estate Wines.
