October 2016 Update:The 2015 Freedom Chardonnay is showing some development due to its preservative free status. Gold in colour the nose has hints of grapefruit, baked apple and toffee. On the palate the stonefruit has dropped away to more butterscotch with some grapefruit juice bitterness towards the end. A rich developed wine. Serve chilled.
The Story
Classic dry white, early harvested for natural acid and green apple flavours in the Chardonnay. Preservative free and Vegan friendly.
2015 Vintage Notes
The Freedom White has restrained fruit character, with a slight creaminess from 100% malolactic fermentation. Its nice acidity is balanced with a touch of residual sweetness. Again this is made without fining proteins, thus being “vegan friendly”.
Preservative Free means made without adding any preservatives, in particular, sulfur dioxide. It is sought out equally by allergy sufferers and “natural wine idealists.

The wine is not made for ageing. Only a limited amount of this wine is produced each year to ensure that the wine is sold within 12 months of bottling.
