The Story

2015 Tamburlaine ‘On the Grapevine’ Organic Sauvignon Blanc

Grape Varieties: 100% Sauvignon Blanc organically certified
Sauvignon Blanc is successfully grown in Australia, particularly in cool climate areas, which provide a long steady growing season where grapes can ripen & develop a natural balance of acids and sugars. All grapes in this wine are organically grown & certified.

Region: Orange Wine Region
The high altitude, cool climate and volcanic red soils in our Orange vineyards are ideal for growing premium quality Sauvignon Blanc.

Vintage Conditions:
A small portion of grapes were picked early to capture fresh herbaceous characters. The remaining grapes were allowed to fully mature to achieve ripe fruit flavours and aromas. Fermentation was adjusted to retain the desired balance of acidity & natural sweetness.

Bouquet: Fresh passionfruit and lemongrass aromas.
Palate: Ripe passionfruit and crisp kiwifruit with hints of green apple freshness and a clean lingering finish.
Serving Suggestions: An excellent accompaniment to fresh seafood and light salads. The perfect wine for a summer barbeque.

Alcohol: 12.5%
Minimal Sulphites used:
A minimal amount of sulphur dioxide has been added to this wine to keep it stable and fresh.
Harvest date: April 2015 
Cellaring: 5 yrs in a cellar <20°C
