Tasting Notes for Hero of Zero Sauvignon Blanc 2024 from the Winery

Nicely varietal Sauvignon Blanc with citrus and passionfruit aromas and hints of fresh green herbs. The palate is fresh and vital with vibrant fresh fruit flavours as well as clean and refreshing acidity. It finishes long and clean and would pair well ith salt & pepper tofu.

Summary

The Hero wines are hand-crafted from the best quality fruit sourced from premium vineyards across South Australia, including McLaren Vale and the Barossa. With meticulous handling in the vineyard and winery, the pristine fruit will have less exposure to anything harmful that may normally require the addition of preservatives. Our wines are crafted to be brightly coloured, exotically fragrant, full-flavoured and critically, they sing without the addition of preservatives. Perfectly suited to many cuisines, these wines are also crafted to ensure they are suitable for Vegans.

Winemaking

Healthy and problem free fruit is selected in the vineyard  and then picked in the cool of the night and then rushed to the nearby winery for a fast and focused vinification. Fermentation is cool in a closed static fermenter before a short maturation on lees and bottling.
