A complex nose of ripe berry fruit (plum & blackberry) evident with new oak tones of vanilla and spice. The tannins are bold and the wine has a beautiful complexity that will develop with bottle age.
The Story
Baume at harvest : 14.1
Ferment Allowed to rise to 30°C then cooled to 25°C. Run off and pressed to complete fermentation in barrel. Malo-lactic in barrel. Aged 18 months in barrel
(25%) New French Oak, (17%) New American Oak, (58%) lyr+ old French Oak.
Bottled December 2005.
