This Shiraz exhibits a complex nose of ripe berry, spice and fine oak notes. The palate has intensity and length with ripe fruit flavours, and well integrated oak. The tannin structure is firm and clean combining both fruit and fine oak tannins which give length and finish to the wine. As for previous vintages, this Shiraz will develop gracefully and build complexity over the next 8-10 years.

 

 

The Story

Machine Harvested 10th March 2003 Baume at harvest : 15.3 Ferment Allowed to rise to 30°C then cooled to 25°C.Run off and pressed to complete fermentation in barrel. Malo-lactic in barrel . Aged 18 months in barrel (27%) New French Oak, (15%) New American Oak, (10%) lyr old French Oak, (48%) older French Oak. Bottled December 2004.
